Symptom: urib: Delete req tlv: 3 is different from stored: 2 seen in syslog Conditions: Requires a MVPN/TRM handoff configuration, where MVPN and MDT address families co-exist. The log imessage is observed on the remote MVPN PE whenever a VRF is shut on the handoff node, or the handoff node is reloaded. In URIB, the connector attribute and VRI attribute are stored in the same TLV container. This is for memory considerations, since only one attribute is relevant at any given time. The addition of a separate TLV container to handle each would increase memory consumption, impacting route scale. The trigger event causes a deletion request from BGP to URIB, and while deleting the route, BGP requests to clear the connector attribute and the VRI attribute, but only one is relevant for the route. The log message is written because under normal circumstances, it is considered invalid to delete a TLV attribute when the request does not match the stored type. However in the case of MVPN/TRM handoff, due to the underlying implementation for storing connector and VRI attributes, the message is completely benign.
