Cisco Bug: CSCvu51340 - vManages changes the webhook password to updated hashes when clicking update

Last Modified

Jul 21, 2020

Products (1)

  • Cisco SD-WAN

Known Affected Releases

19.2.1 20.1

Description (partial)

Symptom:
After initial configuration of webhook notifications in vManage, everything works OK. If you open the notification configuration afterwards and click Update without making any changes, vManage saves the hashed password as the new password.

Conditions:
Steps to reproduce:

1. Configure webhook notification credentials in vManage and save it.
2. Open the newly created webhook (the password hash will change every time the webhook is opened, which is an expected behavior on the vManage) and without making any changes, click on Update.

After this, the »password« field is changed to the encrypted password value and clicking »update« saves the encrypted value, overwriting the original one.
