Cisco Bug: CSCvu48417 - ISE ERS API DELETE device returns 500 error with more than 1 call

Last Modified

Products (1)

  • Cisco Identity Services Engine

Known Affected Releases

2.4(0.912)

Description (partial)

Symptom:
Execute the following call twice, at the same time, for different device ids (to delete 2 difference devices). One will succeed, the other will return a 500 error code.

If the issue is too many requests, then the error code should be 429.

However, multiple device add, user add and user delete works without issue. So it seems multiple delete device should also work.

curl -X DELETE -H 'Content-Type:application/json' -H 'ACCEPT:application/json' https://<user>:<pass>@<host>:9060/ers/config/networkdevice/<id>

Conditions:
Execute 2 or more DELETE device API calls at the same time. This is an issue when using multi-threaded applications to make the API calls.
