Cisco Bug: CSCvu48117 - Add Q-in-Q limitation previously removed via CSCvu08054 to Nexus 3000 Interfaces Configuration Guide

Last Modified

Jun 03, 2020

Products (1)

  • Cisco Nexus 9000 Series Switches

Known Affected Releases

7.0(3)I7(8)

Description (partial)

Symptom:
CSCvu08054 removed the following bullet point from the "Guidelines and Limitations for Q-in-Q Tunneling" section of the Cisco Nexus 3000 Series NX-OS Interfaces Configuration Guide, Release 7.x:

"Cisco Nexus 3500 Series switches do not support configuring Q-in-Q Tunneling on Cisco NX-OS Release 7.0(3)I7(2) and the previous releases."

This bullet point contained a typo ("3500" instead of "3000") and should not have been fully removed. This sotware defect adds the following bullet point to the same configuration guide:

"Cisco Nexus 3000 Series switches (except for the Nexus 3500 Series switches) do not support configuring Q-in-Q Tunneling on Cisco NX-OS Release 7.0(3)I7(2) and the previous releases."

Conditions:
This anomaly can be observed in the "Guidelines and Limitations for Q-in-Q Tunneling" section of the Cisco Nexus 3000 Series NX-OS Interfaces Configuration Guide, Release 7.x
