Cisco Bug: CSCvu45005 - DBlookup attempts to login to SQL Server using sa and blank password if registry in clear text

Last Modified

Sep 15, 2020

Products (1)

  • Cisco Unified Contact Center Enterprise

Known Affected Releases

12.5(1)

Description (partial)

Symptom:
As part of the 12.5 security enhancements, the configuration for database lookup in the registry must be encrypted using the CCEDataProtectTool.

If a customer upgrades and does not use this, or attempts to configure the DBLookup using the original clear text method, the DBLookup will still be attempted, but instead of using the credentials in the registry, DBW will attempt to login with sa and a blank password.

Conditions:
UCCE 12.5 with database lookup configured.
