Last Modified

Known Affected Releases

Description (partial)

Symptom:
The Scripting and Media Resource Guide section covering how to configure database lookup references the pre-12.5 configuration.

Specifically, when stating how to update the registry, the document states to update the SQLLogin key located at the following location:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Cisco.System,INC.\ICM\<instancename>\ RouterA\Router\CurrentVersion\Configuration\Database

It states to create this key as follows:
SQLLogin=\\<DBMachine>\<DBName>=(<DB_username>,<DB_password>)

If this method is used, the SQL login will fail and regardless of the username or password given, the dbw logs will show that the sa account was used.

Conditions:
UCCE 12.5 Scripting and Media Resource Guide
