Cisco Bug: CSCvu42041 - Selfcare portal shows incorrect message when login sessions limit exceeds

Last Modified

Products (1)

  • Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CallManager)

Known Affected Releases

12.5(1.10000.22) 12.5(1.12900.115)

Description (partial)

When the login session limit for an LDAP user is reached, the self care portal presents an invalid error message to the user.

The user is presented with the error "Username or password is incorrect" instead of "The session limit for this user has been reached". If users were presented with the accurate reason for failure, then an administrator could go to "Cisco Unified Operating System Administration --> Security --> Session Management" and terminate sessions for the problematic user ID. Otherwise they would need to restart Tomcat.
