Cisco Bug: CSCvu41008 - Cisco DNA Center - JSON data inconsistency when using ServiceNow integration
Aug 27, 2020
- Cisco DNA Center
Known Affected Releases
Symptom: When Cisco DNA Center is integrated with ServiceNow, the following inconsistencies may be seen in the JSON data received for platform events for access points and SWIM. For access points: 1. The "hostname" field is not present in Cisco DNA Center, but is present in incoming switch events and SWIM events. The AP name is included in the following fields, but there is no "hostname" field. "description" "issueDescription" "issueSummary" For SWIM Events : 1. The "timestamp" field is not present in Cisco DNA Center, but it’s present in incoming switch and AP events. 2. The "id" and "instance-id" fields are different, but appear to be the same for switch and AP events. Example (SWIM event) "id": "8a2a2260-19dd-471e-973b-3bad6e2f92f1", "instanceId": "8a2a2260-19dd-471e-973b-3bad6e2f92f1-1585062196423", 3. In the "description" field, the device name is the data in the "id" field, but it should be the hostname of the device. Example (SWIM event) "description": "Software image of device 8a2a2260-19dd-471e-973b-3bad6e2f92f1 is outdated" Conditions: This discrepancy can be seen when using ServiceNow integrated with Cisco DNA Center.
