Cisco Bug: CSCvu40531 - FXOS LACP packet logging to pktmgr.out and lacp.out fills up /opt/cisco/platform/logs to 100%
Oct 22, 2020
- Cisco Firepower 9300 Series
Known Affected Releases
Symptom: Files lacp.out and pktmgr.out are growing due to logged LACP packets. In case of high rate of LACP packets the files can grow and consume all available storage space faster than logrotate can rotate the files. Customers can monitor disk utilization with: scope ssa show slot expand In case disk utilization exceeds threshold (at 70% and later 90%) critical faults are reported: "Disk usage for partition opt/cisco/platform/logs on fabric interconnect A exceeded 90%" Loss of administrative access to the device (GUI, SSH, console) can occur if CSCvo60166 is hit. Conditions: Firepower 2100 series is configured with an etherchannel and LACP packets are processed. No specific etherchannel configuration is required but any inconsistencies may increase the amount of logged information and fill up the disk faster.
