Cisco Bug: CSCvu39141 - Web UI can crash with long options configuration

Last Modified

Known Affected Releases

9.1(1)

Description (partial)

Symptom:
The Web UI crashes when a long option is entered (or displayed).

Conditions:
The length of the formatted options data, for a single option or vendor option, must be greater than 1024 bytes for this to occur. And, depending on the nature of the data, it may not always occur. This impacts all formatting operations (web UI, REST API, CLI, and DHCP server if detailed packet logging on) and has the potential to crash each of these (the sizes of the formatting buffers does vary and so different conditions apply to each).
