Cisco Bug: CSCvu38455 - J4W crashing with AMX camera

Last Modified

Sep 02, 2020

Products (1)

  • Cisco Jabber for Windows

Known Affected Releases

12.8(2)

Description (partial)

Symptom:
Jabber expects 1920x1080, but when the camera starts the capture, the jpeg captured from camera is 1920x1088
So when decoding jpeg, it is 1920x1088 not 1920x1080, that’s when the crash occurs.
Resolution from the camera does not a match for the resolution Jabber expects.

Jabber log snippet:

[pme] [<GStreamer>] - camdecode [taajpegdec.c(275), taa_jpegdec_chain()]-> JPEG Decoded Header height is 1088, not standard ,may cause Crash !!! Check Camera!!! out_format.height = 1080  out_bytes = 3133440 subsampling = 0
[pme] [<>] - videoscale: size 3133440 is not a multiple of unit size 3110400
