Cisco Bug: CSCvu35855 - CLI command show uidb data compare location <> ... is incorrect for bundle and PWHE (sub)interfaces

Last Modified

May 22, 2020

Products (1)

  • Cisco ASR 9000 Series Aggregation Services Routers

Known Affected Releases

6.6.3.BASE

Description (partial)

Symptom:
When using the CLI command "show uidb data compare location <> ..." to look for mismatches between the shadow copy and H/W copy of the UIDB feature values for a composite interface type (e.g., bundle or PWHE) where there are multiple NPs on a line card and not all of the NPs have a member interface present, the output is not easy to interpret and can be considered incorrect, since it is not clear which NP is being displayed.

Conditions:
A composite type interface, such as a bundle or PWHE, is defined with at least one member port present on a Tomahawk or Typhoon LC which has multiple NPs, and not all of the NPs have a member port defined, then the CLI command show uidb data compare location <> ... is used to look for mismatched data between the shadow copy and H/W copy of the UIDB values configured for the interface or one of its sub-interfaces
