Last Modified

Known Affected Releases

7.3.1.CE

Description (partial)

Release-note

Symptom:
The problem can occur only after multiple (some time more than 100) gsp process restarts. But it has been observed that this problem can be observed even with as less as 10 gsp process restarts When the problem occurs, effected gsp client will loose its membership to group it was member of and will not be able to receive messages from its peer process,

Conditions:
If gsp process restarts multiple times (either because it was manually restarted or because it was restarted due to sofware package activation, or because gsp process abnormally restarted multiple times, then there is a likelyhood of code that runs in one of client process may end up with a timing condition that leaves a dangling connection to gsp server process. When and if this happens, this process will fail to receive any GSP messages sent to it by its peers. This will result in this process getting isolated and then it may not correctly operate.
