Cisco Bug: CSCvu22760 - J: V6/Mac shard collision entry not hit on ingress LC
Oct 03, 2020
- Cisco Nexus 9000 Series Switches
Known Affected Releases
Symptom: Proxy lookup for V6 or MAC fails on EX or later line cards in a modular spine Conditions: Happens when the scale of V6 or MAC EPs is high and there is a collision between 2 or more EPs with the synthetic vrf/ip calculation and the packet destined to v6 or MAC proxy lands on a modular spine loaded with -EX or later line cards. Also, it is not an issue if the EPs having collision are behind same TOR. However if these EPs are learnt behind different TORs, then the traffic to one of the EP could end up landing on the wrong destination TOR, which would result in traffic drop.
