Last Modified

Oct 08, 2020

Products (1)

  • Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CallManager)

Known Affected Releases

12.5(1.11900.114) 12.5(1.11900.84) 12.5(1.12900.115) 12.5(1.13900.95)

Description (partial)

Symptom:
preUpgradeCheck-00022 COP file Filesystem Checks PASS with the following message

*) You have 32 GB of required 25 GB common partition space required to
         upgrade.

However the Refresh Upgrade attempt to CUCM 12.5(1)SU2 fails the Free disk space check indicating

06/03/2020 23:32:33 refresh_upgrade|Location: component_space_calculation.sh|<LVL::Info>
06/03/2020 23:32:33 refresh_upgrade|Type: script|<LVL::Info>
06/03/2020 23:32:33 refresh_upgrade|Size: 9195565112|<LVL::Info>
06/03/2020 23:32:33 refresh_upgrade|(CAPTURE) Free space: 26691584415, Needed space: 27791193232|<LVL::Debug>

Conditions:
This is observed on a CUCM 11.5(1)SU6 Publisher node where prior to starting the CUCM 12.5(1)SU2 Refresh Upgrade Process the common partition usage is as following as seen in the output of "show status" OS Admin CLI command

Disk/logging        70515112K       13388508K       53521564K (80%)

Indicating we have roughly 13GB free disk space to start with but yet that is not enough to perform the Refresh Upgrade.
