Cisco Bug: CSCvu21659 - 7014 ERSPAN ACL: Applying v4 SPAN ACL, v6 end to end traffic forwarding stops

Last Modified

Jun 17, 2020

Products (1)

  • Cisco ASR 9000 Series Aggregation Services Routers

Known Affected Releases

7.0.14.BASE

Description (partial)

Symptom:
Have v4 SPAN ACL applied under the monitor-session for the interface and send ipv6 traffic. IPv6 traffic will start to get dropped completely

Conditions:
Configure monitor session under the interface and then configure a ipv4 SPAN ACL as below matching on ipv4 prefixes but do not configure a v6 span ACL. expectation is that both v4 and v6 traffic should flow end to end and only ipv4 traffic matching the ace's in span acl should get mirrored. however it is seen that v6 traffic starts to get dropped completely. this issue is easily reproducible
