Cisco Bug: CSCvu19600 - Transfer licence of bad switch to replaced switch at DCNM

Last Modified

May 18, 2020

Products (1)

  • Cisco Data Center Network Manager

Known Affected Releases

10.4(2)

Description (partial)

Symptom:
If customers are doing an RMA, won’t the license of the ‘bad’ switch be transferred to the replacement switch?
If customers have to get a new license that is fine, in that case customers would expect that license would be processed as part of the RMA process and be available to the customer

normal process we can rehost licenses, by opening a new case with Cisco licensing team

customer would look to have a process within DCNM, that doesn’t require such a manual actions
