Cisco Bug: CSCvu12353 - ASA SNMP implementor should be able to wrap the index crasSessionIndex before value of 2147483647

Last Modified

May 15, 2020

Products (1)

  • Cisco ASA 5500-X Series Firewalls

Known Affected Releases

9.12.3.7

Description (partial)

Symptom:
we use the below OID as an example to monitor the remote access sessions :

.1.3.6.1.4.1.9.9.392.1.3.21.1.2.5.67.67.76.53.53.*2439229441* = STRING: "TGR-SKYCONNECT2.0"

The index value is larger that 2147483647.

Solutions such as Solarwinds requires the device to use smaller indexes which would match [-2,147,483,648;+2,147,483,647] range

currently there is no way on the ASA to modify the behaviuor so that it should be able to wrap the index crasSessionIndex before value of 2147483647

Conditions:
NA
