Cisco Bug: CSCvu08624 - CP-8800 incoming line labels for enhanced mode should display called party information

Last Modified

May 04, 2020

Products (1)

  • Cisco IP Phone 8800 Series

Known Affected Releases

12.6(1) 12.7(1)

Description (partial)

Symptom:
After 12.6.1 caller id behavior for enhanced mode was changed per release notes:
https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/voice_ip_comm/cuipph/8800-series/firmware/12-6-1/releasenotes/p881_b_8800-release-notes-1261.html#CUIP_TP_N3753EF7_00

When we have a connected call now it shows:
Row 1 (Remote end) displays the call information (i.e. name) of the calling party.
Row 2 (Local end) displays the line on which the incoming call was received on and is in the format of For <LINE LABEL>.

Customer would like to still see old behavior and show the calling party name for row 1 and calling party number for row 2 instead of the new behavior

Conditions:
Phone configured for enhanced mode
