Cisco Bug: CSCvu08425 - FMC: Incorrect input validation and correction for "trace" count number under Capture w/Trace
May 05, 2020
- Cisco Firepower Management Center
Known Affected Releases
Symptom: Incorrect input validation and correction for "trace" count number under Capture w/Trace. ASA/FTD limits for trace count is 1000 packets. When some number higher than this is entered on the "Trace Count" field on FMC, a warning is displayed and the number entered is then changed automatically to "2147483647" which is also not supported. On classic mode, an error is still displayed on the FMC UI, but if running in Atomic mode, no error is displayed on the displayed on the GUI and user is unable to Save the capture without any explicit message explaining why. Conditions: Performing packet captures on device via FMC WebUI.
