Cisco Bug: CSCvu08077 - TTL value breaks BFD process on ACI enabled leaf in 4.2(3l)

Last Modified

Jun 02, 2020

Products (1)

  • Cisco Application Policy Infrastructure Controller (APIC)

Known Affected Releases

4.2(3l)

Description (partial)

Symptom:
BFD process will not start on border leaf after modifying ttl value in ebgp configuration inside the l3out interface profile. see summary above and the following internal post:

https://search-prd.cisco.com/topic/news/cisco/cs/as-aci-group/dsc21094.html

It seems that if you touch the ttl value the bfd process/session won't start. In my case the customer increased it, then decreased it to the supported value, but the process still would not start.

Conditions:
if the TTL value gets modified in any way shape or form the bfd process seems to get blocked.
