Cisco Bug: CSCvu05668 - ISRv cEdge should be able to re-register to Smart Licensing Server after a reload
Oct 16, 2020
- Cisco Smart Software Manager
Known Affected Releases
Symptom: This is the customer process followed to recreate the issue: 1) I spun up the VM 2) Configured the interfaces and the "no ip http client source" statement 3) Registered successfully with the Cisco Smart License server but remained in CLI mode 4) Configured it for SDWAN and activated the cedge in vManage. 5) Verified that the smart license was still on the VM 6) Reloaded the VM and verified that the license is now gone. Conditions: This is a copy of CSCvu05280 which was opened to fix the command ("ip http client source-interface") itself being configurable via template. **Ths bug is to ensure the router can stay connected to the Smart Licensing Server even if a reload occurs. Ensure that the router can still connect to the Smart Licensing Server in the following scenarios: 1) The router is moved from CLI mode to vManaged mode or vice versa 2) The router in vManage mode gets reloaded 3) The router is in CLI mode with the "ip http client source-interface" in the configs Also please ensure that the smart license does not disappear after rebooting the ISRv/CSR1kv cEdge.
