Description (partial)

Traffic beyond 32 SSMv6 groups dropped (with Jumbo MTU configuration)

Symptom:
With the system jumbo MTU configuration on the device (any MTU greater than 1500), the SSMv6 (Source Specific Multicast for IPv6) entries learnt on the device will mismatch between peers when more than 32 MLDv2 joins are sent.

Conditions:
Topology :
Source ======= IE3x00(FHR) ======= IE3x00(MHR) ===== IE3x00 (LHR) ======= Receiver

1. System jumbo MTU configuration on IE3x00 devices
2. More than 32 S,G MLDv2 joins from the receiver
With above conditions met, a reduced count of SSMv6 S,G entries may be learnt on the peer devices leading to IPv6 Multicast traffic loss for other flows that are not learnt.

Below are the affected platforms and release information:
Hardware :IE3200/3300/3400
Software : 17.3 IOS-XE Version
