Description (partial)

Symptom:
An access point, after changing to a Dynamic Frequency Selection (DFS) channel (due to a radar or EDRRM event, or a DFS-triggered channel change), does not perform a Channel Availability Check (CAC) as required, but instead immediately begins beaconing.

Conditions:
Seen with DFS channels in the channel plan, with 2800/3800/4800/1560/IW6300 series access points (not any other models).

Affects the following code versions:

8.10.121.0 (CCO release)
8.10.121.1 - 8.10.121.4 (8.10 MR2 Escalation, available from TAC)
17.2.1

Software suggestion for 8540 WLC with mix of legacy and cos ap's
Hello. We are running several sites with 8540 WLC and a mix of legacy and up to date AP's Currently we run 8.3.143.0 AireOS on all WLC's but we have had issues, especially with the 2800 ap's and false radar detection. According to the release notes we shouldn't have these issues, but reallity prevails. Here is a summary of our issues today: Problem med false radar detaction, making APs jump to non dfs channels (channel 36 - 64).  AP's dropping CAPWAP sessionen with WLC, only partial session established. ...
