Description (partial)

Symptom:
"show inventory" shows ACACIA SN (manufacturers SN ) rather than CISCO SN which causes trouble to customer when reporting an SR.

Conditions:
Why do customers needs the exact S/N? Simply because whenever they want to open a TAC case re these optics then TAC asks for S/N to see if that module is under service. And for this customer must have access to Cisco S/N. We had this is recent past and customers could only give the S/N they see via CLI command, but this then being the vendor’s S/N, not ours. Hence they had trouble with TAC team. I was able to resolved  this by asking the vendor for a cross ref list vendor S/N <-> Cisco S/N, but I only got this for specific S/Ns and this is for sure not a practical way for all TAC cases related to CFP2 optics.
