Description (partial)

Symptom:
MAC and its corresponding IPv4 address are present in:
- hardware MAC address table
- software MAC address table
- ARP table
- l2vpn mac-learning mac-ipv4 table
- l2route EVPN EVI MAC table

However, the MAC-IP pair is missing from the l2route EVPN EVI MAC-IP table.

Conditions:
The "greater" route of the one being inserted into the L2RIB is flagged as duplicate. "Greater" route is one with a key greater than the route being inserted. Key is based on EVI instance, MAC address and IP address.

As the "greater" route is a duplicate, the route being inserted is erroneously also considered a duplicate and hence not inserted into the L2RIB.

"show l2rib trace" reads "Ignoring duplicate IP route":

<timestamp> ... (<EVI_ID>,<MAC_address>,<IP_address>):Ignoring duplicate IP route.

L2RIB route is considered a duplicate if it is advertised by a remote EVPN PE, connected to a different ESI.
