Cisco Bug: CSCvt88142 - set proper TC value for VPLS PW BUM traffic during recycle

Last Modified

Sep 10, 2020

Products (1)

  • Cisco Network Convergence System 5500 Series

Known Affected Releases

7.2.1.BASE

Description (partial)

Release-note

Symptom:
For BUM traffic going over the VPLS PW "set traffic-class" is not taking action due to which incoming cos value is deciding the forwarding queue, instead of set and match traffic-class which should decide.

in case of l2vpn topology, when example cos2 and cos3 are matched together under same class map , and then that class map is set the a particular traffic class, it was expected that cos2 and cos3 will always internally match the configured traffic class.
However in this case for BUM traffic cos2 will always match for tc2 and cos3 is always matched to tc3

Conditions:
For BUM traffic going over the VPLS PW "set traffic-class" is not taking action due to which incoming cos value deciding the forwarding queue, instead of set and match traffic-class which should decide.
