Cisco Bug: CSCvt88087 - Backup device entries lost if any wrong information is provided

Last Modified

Apr 21, 2020

Products (1)

  • Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CallManager)

Known Affected Releases

14.0(0.98000.1014)

Description (partial)

Symptom:
1)Login to DRF.
2)Access the path Backup->Backup Device and provide device name.

3) populate all the mandatory fields with any kind of error in any field (unreachable hostname/wrong creds of SFTP).
3)click on Save
The above operation results in appropriate warning message mentioned below ..which is correct.

However the contents of the web page, i,e entries made to mandatory fields and device name are lost.

Ideally if the admin does any mistake while configuring, data should stay up to allow editing the mistyped/wrong entry.. and ease the task of the admin.

Current behavior - Backup device entries lost if any wrong information is provided

Expected behavior - The entries made should stay up and allow the admin to just edit the wrong entry as per the warning.

Conditions:
wrong credentials entered
