Symptom: 8821 phones are losing connectivity with CUCM . Phone is unregistering with CUCM. Phones still showing wireless icon in the screen, which seems they have connectivity. Users check and interact with the phone like checking the statistics in the phone. Phone is frozen after one minute or two minutes of being unregistered. Conditions: In phone console logs Phone looks to be doing CCKM roaming instead of FT. Initial Assoc start This forces a full authentication During certificate exchange 2848 NOT Mar 11 10:56:39.759740 wpa_supplicant(1031)-SSL: SSL3 alert: read (remote end reported an error):fatal:unexpected_message 2849 DEB Mar 11 10:56:39.759792 wpa_supplicant(1031)-EAP: Status notification: remote TLS alert (param=unexpected_message) 2883 DEB Mar 11 10:56:39.765424 wlanmgr-supp_event=<3>CTRL-EVENT-EAP-FAILURE EAP authentication failed Phone eventually gets connected, but see this happening on subsequent roams. It eventually gets connected, but then we end up with a wlan chip crash. * AP different models could be a possible factor contributing to this issue. Because wlan chip needs to switch the data rate/bandwidth frequently during the roaming.
