Cisco Bug: CSCvt81645 - ESC must support case insensitive Openstack OOB volume type names

Last Modified

Jun 01, 2020

Products (1)

  • Cisco Elastic Services Controller

Known Affected Releases

4.5 5.0 5.1

Description (partial)

Symptom:
Openstack allows volume type names to be configured as lower case, upper case or mixed case tokens (e.g lvm versus LVM). Currently ESC expects an OOB volume type name appearing in a deployment XML to match the name provisioned on the VIM. Depending on how the OS installation was performed this can mismatch and causing the OOB volume to not be found with resulting deployment failure.

Conditions:
Deployment or deployment update containing a reference to an OOB volume. Problem does not manifest for volumes created by ESC.
