Cisco Bug: CSCvt66509 - BGP Multipath is replacing an oldest path without receiving a withrdaw for the oldest path
Sep 02, 2020
- Cisco ASR 9000 Series Aggregation Services Routers
Known Affected Releases
Symptom: Oldest route is replaced from multipath selection, without any withdraw being received from the RRs (router-reflectors) for that specific path. Issue is due to path id reassignment of the path. Conditions: - Customer has a PE with BGP "maximum-paths ibgp 2 unequal-cost" enabled. - There are 4 unique paths for a specific route in the network. - There are 2 Route-Reflectors in the network announcing 2 paths each to the PE.
