Cisco Bug: CSCvt65209 - CUCM Trace filesize not updated / logs not deleted on all servers when using 'Apply to All Nodes'

Last Modified

Products (1)

  • Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CallManager)

Known Affected Releases

10.5(2.10000.5) 11.5(1.10000.6) 11.5(1.17900.52) 12.0(1.10000.10) 12.5(1.10000.22) 12.5(1.12900.115)

Description (partial)

Symptom:
CUCM Trace filesize not updated / existing logs not deleted on all servers when using 'Apply to All Nodes'

Conditions:
Serviceability > Trace > Configuration > select CUCM Pub > CM Services > CallManager > related links - SDL > Change filesize from 10MB to 2MB > 'Apply to All Nodes'

Existing traces on CUCM Pub under /var/log/active/cm/trace/ccm/sdl/ will get deleted, and new raw file size will be 2MB rather than 10MB (txt.gz files will be compressed in /var/log/active/cm/trace/ccm/sdl/)

If browsing to the trace setting on a CUCM Sub in the cluster, can see SDL filesize set to 2MB now. However, file list activelog cm/trace/ccm/sdl/* sort date detail will show that the existing logs haven't been deleted, and the filesize of traces hasn't changed (raw file still 10MB, txt.gz around 2MB)
