Cisco Bug: CSCvt64538 - Encrypted attributes not supported in LCS update stage scripts

Last Modified

May 31, 2020

Products (1)

  • Cisco Elastic Services Controller

Known Affected Releases

4.3 4.4 4.5 5.0 5.1(0.131)

Description (partial)

Symptom:
Mona execution of an LCS script could fail, as parameters passed to the script may be "null" instead of their intended values.

Conditions:
The LCS script must be attached/associated to the action:

LCS::DEPLOY_UPDATE::POST_VM_SOFTWARE_VERSION_UPDATED

and it must use parameters whose values are specified using <encrypted_value> instead of <value>

i.e.

<property>
  <name>the_password</name>
  <encrypted_value>the_password_value</encrypted_value>
</property>

In the above scenario, the LCS script associated with this action would be passed "null" as the value for the property: "the_password".
