SYMPTOMS

Vmedia policy mapping  using HTTPS without specifying username and password resulted in mount failure with below error message :
"Invalid vmedia mount configuration(One or more mapping informations are missing/invalid or Same device type exists more than once or image file extension and device type mismatching in vmedia policy)"

CONDITIONS

Create a vmedia policy with protocol as HTTPS , devicetype as HDD/CDD and username/password should not be specified.

WORKAROUNDS

Username and password is made optional for vmedia policy when protocol is set to HTTPS.

Symptom:
Vmedia policy mapping  using HTTPS without specifying username and password resulted in mount failure with below error message :
"Invalid vmedia mount configuration(One or more mapping informations are missing/invalid or Same device type exists more than once or image file extension and device type mismatching in vmedia policy)"

Conditions:
Create a vmedia policy with protocol as HTTPS , devicetype as HDD/CDD and username/password should not be specified.
