Description (partial)

An access point may fail to detect radar signals, when operating on a channel that requires Dynamic Frequency Selection (DFS.)  As a result, the equipment may violate regulatory requirements, and must be upgraded.

Affects the following access point series (and no others): AP2800, AP3800, AP4800, AP1560 and IW6300.

Affects the following code releases: through (8.5MR6 Escalation, available from TAC), (CCO releases) through (8.10MR1 Escalation, available from TAC) through (8.10MR1 Escalation, available from TAC)

We are running several sites with 8540 WLC and a mix of legacy and up to date AP's Currently we run AireOS on all WLC's but we have had issues, especially with the 2800 ap's and false radar detection. According to the release notes we shouldn't have these issues, but reallity prevails. Here is a summary of our issues today: Problem med false radar detaction, making APs jump to non dfs channels (channel 36 - 64).  AP's dropping CAPWAP sessionen with WLC, only partial session established. ...
