Cisco Bug: CSCvt46999 - EventHandler does not process connection events after CLI command to enable/disable ramdisk

Last Modified

May 12, 2020

Products (1)

  • Cisco Firepower Management Center

Known Affected Releases

6.3.0 6.4.0 6.5.0 6.6.0

Description (partial)

Symptom:
Syslog or SNMP output from the device is missing for connection events.

Conditions:
On devices with a SSD (ASA 5512, ASA 5515, Firepower 4100 series), connection events are normally stored to RAM disk to minimize wear on the SSD. The problem happens after the ramdisk logging setting is changed with the CLI command:
configure log-events-to-ramdisk disable
or
configure log-events-to-ramdisk enable
