Cisco Bug: CSCvt43318 - Auto negotiate not working in vEdge2K

Last Modified

Aug 28, 2020

Products (1)

  • Cisco vEdge Router

Known Affected Releases

18.4.4

Description (partial)

Symptom:
We directly connect from a subinterface on one vEdge to a subinterface in another vEdge, both subinterfaces on the service side and we configure the speed to "1000 Mbps" with the parameter "autonegotiate", the issue here is that when we set the value to "autonegotiate" under the parent interface, the devices don't learn the mac address and don't have reachability because of that. The only way in which we have seen that the devices learn the mac address and have reachability is hardcore the speed as "100 Mbps" and configure duplex "full".

Conditions:
Both routers are directly connected via SFP and they are using subinterfaces
