Description (partial)

Symptom:
The ASA will fail to block traffic if the TCP syslog host (receiver) is inaccessible to the ASA.

Conditions:
Logging enabled in the ASA configuration ("logging enable"). At least one syslog host configured with TCP transport ("logging host [interface] [ip address] 6/[port]"). The command "logging permit-hostdown" absent from the ASA configuration.
