Cisco Bug: CSCvt38984 - Not able to see the MAC Address and the Host Identifier in On-Prem when checking product Instances

Last Modified

Mar 20, 2020

Products (1)

  • Cisco Smart Software Manager satellite

Known Affected Releases

7-201910 7-202001

Description (partial)

Symptom:
In On-Prem versions 7-201910 and 7-202001 the user is unable to retrieve the MAC address or the Host Identifier when registering/renewing a device, when accessing the Smart Licensing workspace (Smart Software Manager On-Prem > Smart Licensing), clicking on "Inventory", selecting a Virtual Account that has Product Instances, then clicking on "Product Instances" and, finally, clicking on the name of a Product Instance.

Conditions:
This was observed in a fresh installation of On-Prem, either version 7-201910 or 7-202001. The Global Synchronization Data Privacy Settings in the "admin" workspace, in the menu "Synchronization", in the tab "Schedules" need to be disabled (greyed out) and a synchronization to Cisco Smart Software Manager is needed. The devices to be checked need to be registered/renewed.
