Cisco Bug: CSCvt38596 - [SF][D12]: GISO label not seen after system upgrade to GISO followed by router reload

Last Modified

Jun 17, 2020

Products (1)

  • Cisco 8000 Series Routers

Known Affected Releases

7.0.12.BASE

Description (partial)

Symptom:
After RP switchover, the GISO label is no longer seen in commands such as <cmdBold>show version<noCmdBold>

Conditions:
LNT platforms with multiple RPs

The platform must have been booted with an image that does not contain a GISO label (either a standard ISO, or a GISO with no label), and then upgraded to a GISO with a label. The issue is then seen if there is an RP switchover - either as part of the apply for the system upgrade, or after the upgrade has been committed.
