Description (partial)

Symptom:
A vulnerability in the logging subsystem of the Cisco Smart Software Manager Satellite could allow an authenticated, remote attacker to view sensitive information in a system log file.  This occurs only in specific situations using LDAP and requires sysop or admin privileges.

The vulnerability is due to lack of proper masking of sensitive information before being written to system log files. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by authenticating to the targeted device and inspecting a specific system log file. The attacker would need valid user credentials with required permissions.

Conditions:
The default configuration of the application.
