Cisco Bug: CSCvt34727 - Following an upgrade, ETSI does not start

Last Modified

Jun 01, 2020

Products (1)

  • Cisco Elastic Services Controller

Known Affected Releases

5.0 5.1

Description (partial)

Symptom:
When an ESC supporting ETSI is upgraded the ESC ETSI service can fail to start.

Conditions:
Condition entry is a function of the upgrade 'hop' performed and presence of pending ETSI LCM callbacks in the ESC database. LCM operation callback classes are serialized and stored in the ESC database. Subsequent access of these objects (via deserialization) requires access to the same class implementation. If the underlying class implementation is different in the new ESC version, callback object access with fail and dependent NFVO<->VNFM workflow will fail.
