Before configuring name based NTP server ( FQDN ) in non-default VRF, it is required to configure DNS  server under that VRF. If you configure DNS server from global configuration mode using use-vrf option, then that name based NTP server config will not be added to running config. If you attempted to config NTP server using this method, it is required to remove that NTP configuration using no command and add the DNS server under that VRF and then add name based NTP server.

Conditions:
name based ntp server config in non default vrf
