Last Modified

Sep 02, 2020

Products (1)

  • Cisco ASR 9000 Series Aggregation Services Routers

Known Affected Releases

6.6.3.BASE

Description (partial)

Symptom:
With the current DHCP Proxy feature in ASR9k, the device will use the same DHCP server to renew the subscriber IP address and will not fall back to the other configured DHCP servers. If that server fails to respond before end of lease, the subscriber will be disconnected as it looses its IP address and a new session needs to be initiated.

Conditions:
DHCP Proxy is configured with multiple DHCP servers
