Last Modified

Oct 07, 2020

Products (1)

  • Cisco Catalyst 9300 Series Switches

Known Affected Releases

17.3

Description (partial)

Symptom:
If BGP IPv6 AF is not configured then the BGP IPv6 LU AF will not be initialized properly. The system will crash when the 'show bgp ipv6 unicast summary' command is executed because of the null IPv6 LU AF instance.

Conditions:
When address-family IPv6 is not present under BGP and IPv6 unicast-routing is enabled (also only AF IPv4 is present under BGP). This is not a scalability issue, nor is it triggered by any other BGP features.
