Cisco Bug: CSCvt14440 - Linux default route src hint sometimes not recalculated after loopback intf deleted
Feb 24, 2020
- Cisco Carrier Routing System
Known Affected Releases
Symptom: After deleting the lowest-numbered Loopback interface in a VRF with multiple Loobacks, Linux applications running on the router cannot connect to remote devices. Affected Linux applications include IOS XR Install and Model Driven Telemetry over gRPC. Conditions: The issue is only present on the Cisco 8000 and Network Convergence System 540L platforms. The issue is only seen if the remote devices are relying on traffic sourced from Linux applications on the router using a source IP from one of several Loopback interfaces, and the previously-selected Loopback interface is removed. The issue is timing-dependent so may not arise even if all above conditions above are met.
