Last Modified

Products (1)

  • Cisco Embedded Services 3300 Series Switches

Known Affected Releases

17.2.1

Description (partial)

Symptom:
The system will save the nvram_config file to the internal eMMC Flash storage when the booted memory device is removed.

All running config that may be confidential to that specific storage device gets saved to the Flash upon reloading the device through the cli command "reload".

If device is power cycled, this will not happen.

Conditions:
Boot device from (usbflash0, or usbflash1)

After setting up configurations, remove the usbflash device.

Do not save the configurations to flash.

Reload the device.

Once booted from the flash confirm that the configurations that were not supposed to be saved are in fact saved to the flash.
