Last Modified

Oct 05, 2020

Products (1)

  • Cisco ASR 9000 Series Aggregation Services Routers

Known Affected Releases

7.0.2.BASE

Description (partial)

Symptom:
High memory usage by ipv4_rib or ipv6_rib even though scale of routes is not very high

Conditions:
Periodic polling of routes under a given protocol can leak memory, if routes have next-hop in a different VRF. This can occur either by running associated show-command or via polling by model-driven-telemetry.
Example show command: show route vrf default ipv4 unicast static
Example telemetry path: /oper/ipv[4|6]-rib/gl/vrf/<vrf name>/afi/<afi name>/safi/<safi name>/table/<table_name>/<Proto name>/<as_instance>/route/<Route addr>)
