Cisco Bug: CSCvt04025 - DOC: OSPF | OSPFv3 route-map redistribution with ipv6 prefix list is not supported

Last Modified

Jul 15, 2020

Products (1)

  • Cisco ASA 5500-X Series Firewalls

Known Affected Releases

9.8(4.230)

Description (partial)

Symptom:
When trying to redistribute a route-map on OSFP or OSPFv3 we can see inconsistent behavior on the routes distributed sent to the peer.
Sometimes using the filter */36 routes were being redistributed the same way as when using le /128, even when it should block them and other times we could see with same prefix-list */36 or even le 128 no routes were passed at all, this behavior is seen with OSPF using ipv4 route-maps too as we noticed sometimes the route is not distributed to the neighbor.

Conditions:
OSPF or OSPFv3 configured with route-map with ipv6 prefix list redistribution

route-map Permit-Publics permit 10
match ip address prefix-list PUBLICS
match ipv6 address prefix-list ipv6-internal-pool
