Cisco Bug: CSCvt02285 - CP-88xx - Add Option to Disable "Mark A Call As Spam"
Mar 23, 2020
- Cisco IP Phone 8800 Series
Known Affected Releases
Symptom: An option was added in 12.7(1) to mark a call as a spam call when the phone is ringing. There is currently no option to disable this feature, and end users may run into a scenario where they accidentally mark a call as spam when it is not. This can be corrected in the phone settings, but some end users may have issues finding that option. Also, this feature seems to persist with a device, so in an environment utilizing EM, shared devices may have numbers marked as spam that some of the users are not aware of. Administrators should have the option to disable this new feature if it negatively impacts their business More information about the feature here: https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/voice_ip_comm/cuipph/8800-series/firmware/12-7-1/releasenotes/p881_b_rns-8800-1271.html#reference_98DB3351E2850A08F9D2C7C081449D87 Conditions: CP-88xx running 12.7(1)
